With over 30 years of experience, Laurie specializes in Equine-Assisted Therapeutic Practices. Laurie’s exceptional depth of knowledge, combined with her genuine passion for the healing potential of horses, sets her apart. Her extensive experience in both the clinical and competitive realms, along with her background in trauma recovery and mental wellness, allows her to offer truly unique and effective solutions for individuals seeking healing and empowerment.

She has worked with countless clients, helping them navigate life’s toughest emotional struggles with the healing presence of horses and a combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Her scope includes emotional regulation, fear management, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and autism as well as social skills and strengthening relationships.

She has a passion for mentoring individuals as they work with their own horses to improve communication, strengthen their bond, hone skills, and progress toward their individual goals.

Laurie’s commitment to sharing her knowledge extends beyond her direct therapeutic work. She has taught numerous courses across a variety of settings including upper-division and continuing education university courses for equine therapy facilitators as well as development seminars for established therapy and education groups who wish to enhance and improve their existing or future programs.
